Enna mazhai!

You are as usual having your breakfast in a hurry when it starts raining heavily. You step out of your house with an umbrella when the rain worsens. Samma kaatthu + mazhai! The umbrella gets upturned! You somehow manage to reach the bus stop on time drenched almost fully. You get into the bus and in less than 2 minutes, the rain stops! What a perfect timing! And here I am now sitting in my cubicle with my clothes wet. Poor me! ๐Ÿ™

Sorry for not posting the photos of numbers for the past three days. The last time when I didn’t post the numbers for four days, I was busy. But this time I am not. I don’t know why but my photography skills has become so bad that for the past two days, I am not satisfied even with a single photo that I took. ๐Ÿ™ I will try my best to post all the numbers atleast by tomorrow.

Azhagiya Tamizh Magan – The Songs

Listening to an album of A R Rahman for the first time โ€“ There is nothing else that can match the excitement felt at that moment. ๐Ÿ™‚ And as usual, Rahman doesnโ€™t disappoint you this time too. All the songs are good. But, something seems to be missing in most of the songs. Sometimes on listening to a song for the first time, you get hooked to it instantly and would not want to move on to the next song at all. There seems to be no song that fits into this category even after listening to all the songs continuously for more than 7 hours now. So I guess itโ€™s going to take quite some time for me to start liking the songs of ATM in the way I like the songs of Rahman.

Navaratri

This post has been in the draft for a more than a week now. I thought I will post it before Navaratri ends!

There are quite a lot of things to look forward to during Navaratri, a festival lasting the maximum number of days compared to all others – Kolu, Sundal, Kolu bommais for sale at Mylapore/T.Nagar/Khadi (I might have missed some places) in various sizes and shapes, visiting friends and relatives, they in turn visiting your house ๐Ÿ™‚ , special alankaraam at most of the temples for ambAL, doing poojas for books (padikkaramo illaiyo bookskku poojai mattum correctaa poattuduvom ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), vehicles, etc. on Saraswati Pooja and above all, singing almost everyday! It’s that time of the year when your singing skills are put to test what with everyone asking you to sing as soon as they know that you are learning music. At the same time, no one is spared from letting their singing talent from being exposed ๐Ÿ˜‰ While there are some people who, I don’t know why they want to sing in the first place and subject everyone to torture with their singing, jump at the opportunity to sing as soon as they are asked to, there are others who really sing well and who leave you wishing to listen to their singing more. I don’t belong to either of the categories ๐Ÿ˜‰ While I am at the topic of singing during Navaratri, I thought I would give a warning to all girls who sing. Girls, beware of guys like this one ๐Ÿ˜› Cha kaalam romba kettu poidtthu ๐Ÿ˜›
