VTV Unplugged

Did you watch the Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa audio launch that was telecast on TV yesterday? Weren’t the unplugged version of all the songs as awesome (at times even more?) as the original songs? πŸ™‚ It was a pleasure seeing everyone on stage performing with so much passion. How I wish the unplugged versions too get released! Talking about VTV songs, I am hooked big-time to Hosanna, Omana Penne & Aaoromale. I have listened to other songs only a few times since I don’t seem to have enough time for these 3 songs itself! Rahman is amazing as always!

heard the songs. Liked Hosanna and others. Yest, I too watched the starting of Alaipayuthey and I thought of your blog on the song ‘Yaaro…’ and I could appreciate Mani Rathnam. Very good observation on your part.

Yes, actually i was trying to play both side by side to see how different they were. I think unplugged version sounds more like “the mood” of the lyrics. The tune feels pure there !

I hope they can officially record the audio of those unplugged versions and release. I’d still pay for it ! πŸ™‚

Expect for Hosana, all the other songs are a disappointment. None of them are great at first listen.

I have to listen to these songs a few more times to check if they grow on me as A R Rahman songs always do.

This album, according to me, is a disappointment as it stands now.

Every song of this album is very pleasant to hear and the mood they create is awesome…. It takes the listener in to various stages of love from excitement to pain….

An Absolute delight it was …..I really hope they get released as a separate album. I have a feeling Sony might actually do us a favor with this one ….
