Seeing the trailer on Filmy channel on Friday that Khamoshi was going to be telecast on Filmy the next day, I realized that it had been quite a few months since I last watched/listened to one of my moooost favourite songs, aaj main upar!
I had tried watching Khamoshi a few years back and given the fact that I generally try to avoid watching films that make one sad, I couldn’t watch the movie after the scene where Annie’s brother dies. After that, I never did try to watch that movie again. Yesterday evening, even while I was doing channel-surfing, I kept checking Filmy at regular intervals so as to not miss the song and I don’t know why, but I stopped the channel-surfing and started watching that movie from the jaana suno song, which is again a very nice song.
Some touching scenes here and there and the song, yeh dil sun raha hai followed and soon, it was time for aaj main upar. I like the picturization, the lyrics, the music, the singers, everything about this song! Pyaar hua chupke se (from 1942 A Love Story) and this one are two of my favourite songs sung so beautifully by Kavitha Krishnamurthy.
A couple of scenes after the song, when Salman comes to meet Nana Patekar and Nana Patekar goes to the beach, guess what was the scene that was shown after that? A few scenes that come before the song, yeh dil sun raha hai! I thought it was some mistake and the movie would continue from the beach scene again. But it wasn’t until they had shown all the scenes in between that they came back to that scene! So I watched aaj main upar not once, but twice! 😀 But I still can’t believe that some 20+ minutes of the movie was shown twice! What a bore! 😐
Anyway, since the movie was good, I continued watching it till the point where Manisha is lying on her deathbed in the hospital and since I was least interested in watching any more sad scenes, I switched off the TV. I don’t think I would watch this movie again for sometime to come but I do want to know what happens in the movie after that. So can anyone please tell me what happens after that scene? Thank you!
