The concert started with my favourite Sahana 😀 But the speakers at the venue were so pathetic that I couldn’t enjoy it at all. 🙁 I don’t want this post to become yet another raving about Sanjay’s concert. So I will just stop with saying that you should have been there to see what great a concert it was. 😉

This is one of the best concerts of TMK that I went to in the recent times! I liked it more than his 4-hr concert. I can’t pick out one alapana/song rendition and say that was the one that I liked the most in the concert. Every moment of the concert was super! The Tani Avartanam that followed the Varali was amazing!
I started the week with Sanjay’s concert and ended it with TMK’s. I couldn’t have asked for more 😉
Did you come yesterday for Sanjay’s at NGS??Loved the ranjani and main piece – wowie!:)
Aparna,
i’d sent u the al-risalah song to the mail-id in your blog, pls chek.there was a gud discussion in ARR’s yahoo grp about this song, where i got to know abt naat and nasheed, abt various forms of devotional prayer songs in Islam. This song i believe is a nasheed..expecting a review, atleast a short one!
Cheers,
kk
Very interesting choice for main….Varali-would have expected Ka Va Va, anyway, have heard Azhi Mazhai as well. Maybe, yes it was appropriate as the organizing body was Muthamizh Peravai.
Sathej
Niveditha,
Yes I came 🙂 Ranjani was the best!
Krishnakumar,
Thanks a lot for sending me the song 🙂 I liked it a lot. Thanks for the info. Will try to write a post on it soon
Sathej,
What has Mutthamizh peravai got to do with Aazhi Mazhai?
