Asleep in the blazing sun

Imagine someone sleeping while travelling by bus at around 4-4:30 in the evening in spite of the terrible Madras summer! That too not just sleeps but is in a deep sleep so much so that the person wakes up all of a sudden to find that it’s just a few seconds for the stop to come! And, imagine this happening everyday!! You might have already guessed by now. I am that person! I don’t really know from where I got the ability to sleep in this bad veyil! Ellaarum enna praise paNNunga πŸ˜› Btw, I guess the day when I am going to miss my stop isn’t far away!

I think your sleep hours got shifted. And this is the side effect. πŸ™‚ Do tell us once you miss your stop. Becos, I think you won’t. πŸ˜‰

ps: & Why Madras if its Chennai? Hard to change? Old habits stay easy? πŸ˜›

    Hello Aparna,
Agree with Ranjhith. You must be really sleep deprived to be able to sleep in the blazing sun. Madras is always Madras, isn’t it? It is nice sometimes ‘not to have a change’.Like some people still say Bombay.
And your stop, well, wish you luck not to miss it.

    Ranjhith,
    What makes you think I won’t? πŸ˜‰
Not hard to change. But, like many other Chennaiites, I too like the name Madras more than Chennai. Besides, the summer here has been as bad as it is now even when the city was called Madras πŸ˜›

    Rukesh,
The reason I come back home early is I start early πŸ™‚

    Sathej,
Of course it has got me interested! πŸ™‚

    Mathangi,
Believe it or not, a few months back when I was in the deep-sleep-while-travelling-by-bus syndrome, I did set an alarm once!! πŸ˜€ It’s another fact that I woke up before the alarm πŸ™‚
Btw, hope you read how I enjoyed my ride today!

    Yuva,
    That’s a surprise??!! πŸ˜›
